AUSTIN, TX -- The University of Maryland women's tennis team lost to No. 12 Texas 4-0 on Friday.

Texas opened the match by taking the second and third doubles matches to secure the doubles point and a 1-0 lead.

In singles play Texas took three straight singles wins to clinch a 4-0 victory.
