No. 4 Terps Remain Undefeated With 3-2 Win Over No. 14 Indiana

The Terps historic 2025 story added another chapter with Maryland’s fourth ranked win of the season in front of Ludwig Field’s biggest crowd since 2018.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland welcomed its 2005 National Championship roster back to Ludwig Field on Friday night as the No. 4 Terps (10-0-3, 6-0-2 Big Ten) put on an epic show, downing the No. 14 Hoosiers (10-4-1, 3-4 Big Ten) 3-2 to stay unbeaten in 2025.

Ludwig Field drew 5,580 fans for a crucial conference matchup on Friday, its largest crowd since 2018 — a season that also ended in red and white confetti.

Maryland used the energy from a packed Ludwig Field early as Luca Costabile beat Hoosiers goalkeeper Judewellin Michel in the 14th minute for his second goal of the season to put the Terps ahead 1-0. The lead doubled in the 58th minute as Sadam Masereka netted his sixth goal of the season after carving through the IU defense.  The Hoosiers got on the board in the 64th minute, temporarily stalling the party at Ludwig Field. Still, nothing could contain the excitement of the 2005 National Champion Team Reunion.  The Terps regained full control of the match again in the 75th minute as Stephane Njike buried his sixth goal of the season as Albi Ndrenika picked up his second assist of the night. Maryland took a 3-1 lead and became just the second team to score three or more goals against the Hoosiers in 2025. Indiana found a second goal in the 81st minute, but the Terps held on for their 10th win of the season. In four matches against ranked opponents this season, the Terps are 4-0 with an incredible +6 (8-2) goal differential. Laurin Mack picked up a conference-high 10th win on the season as he continues his trend of elite play against tough competition.
