No. 18 Maryland Draws 0-0 With UCLA

The Terps earned their second draw of conference play to stay unbeaten in 2025.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The No. 18 Terrapins (6-0-3, 2-0-2 Big Ten) earned a hard-fought point in the standings on Friday night as they battled with UCLA (2-5-3, 2-2-1 Big Ten) for 90 minutes and emerged with a 0-0 draw. 

Maryland outshot the Bruins 12-8 on Friday and attempted eight corners to UCLA's six, but the Bruins' defense was stout, especially in the closing minutes of the two halves. Maryland's Laurin Mack faced eight shots in his seventh-career shutout. 

The Terps' ninth straight undefeated result continues their best start to a season since 2017 and pushes the all-time series with the Bruins to an even 4-4-4.

  • UCLA attempted the match's first corner in the sixth minute, but wasn't able to get a shot off.
  • Sadam Masereka recorded the match's first shot in the 14th minute.
  • Maryland was awarded its first corner in the 21st minute. 
  • Luca Costabile had a shot blocked in the 22nd minute.
  • Maryland attempted a pair of corners in the 32nd and 36th minutes.
