No. 7 Seed Ohio State Defeats No. 2 Seed Maryland 2-1 In Big Ten Tournament

The Terps await the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on Sunday night.

BLOOMINGTON, IN —  The No. 7 seeded Ohio State Buckeyes scored a pair of goals off penalty corners in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal round to defeat the No. 2 seeded Terps 2-1 on Thursday afternoon.

Feliz Kuhne led No. 11 ranked Maryland (10-8, 5-3 Big Ten) with three shots and the Terps drew eight corners, but three saves from the Buckeyes (8-9, 3-5 Big Ten) in crucial moments pushed them past the Terps.

Ohio State netted the afternoon's first goal on a Buckeyes' penalty corner in the second quarter, but Big Ten All-Freshman honoree Maia Adamson evened the match with her second goal of the season in the 35th minute.
