A+ Performance: No. 7 Terps Top Central Connecticut State, 98-30, On Field Trip Day

Maryland aced its Friday test in front of a sold-out crowd to improve to 13-0.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — The No. 7 Terps kept their perfect 13-0 season rolling on Friday morning with a dominant 98-30 win over Central Connecticut State in front of a sold-out crowd that included more than 13,000 kids on Field Trip Day.

Yarden Garzon helped the Terps get off to a quick start, hitting four of her seven total three-pointers in the first quarter as Maryland built a 39-14 lead and never looked back. The Terps' 39 first-quarter points were the second-highest mark in program history. Garzon finished with a season-high 25 points to mark her 11th-career game with at least 20 points. A three in the third quarter put the Terps at 67 points, sending the XFINITY Center into a manic frenzy. Oluchi Okananwa dazzled with 22 points and 10 rebounds as Maryland moved to 13-0 for a second straight season and the fourth time in the Brenda Frese era. Okananwa posted her first double-double of the season and the seventh of her career while scoring 20+ points for the fourth time this season. The Terps' defense dazzled on Friday. Maryland allowed just two points — tied for the second-lowest mark in program history — in the second quarter and held the Blue Devils (0-11) to single-digit scoring in three quarters in the win.

Addi Mack continued her impressive freshman season with 15 points and four rebounds while Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu added 10 points and nine rebounds to her breakout year.  The Terps earned straight A's on a day where Maryland hosted over 13,000 kids at the XFINITY Center for Field Trip Day. The Terps' 17,300 total attendance marked their first sellout of the season and the highest attendance in NCAA women's basketball this season. How It Happened:
