Maryland had 11 different Terps score and totaled 25 assists in Wednesday’s dominant win.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — The No. 7 Terps grabbed a 92-44 win over Mount St. Mary's (2-6) at the XFINITY Center on Wednesday night to secure a 10-0 record in their final game before starting Big Ten play. Maryland had five different Terps score in double figures as the Terps used a strong first quarter to build a 23-9 lead and never looked back to improve to 12-0 all-time against Mount St. Mary's.

Oluchi Okananwa continued her hot start to the season with 17 points, three rebounds, and two steals. She's scored at least 10 points in eight of Maryland's games this season and already has a pair of 20-point performances under her belt before Big Ten play starts on Sunday.

Breanna Williams posted a strong, 12-point, seven-rebound night to record her third double-figure night in her past four games. Rainey Welson also had her best game of her young career as she tallied a career-high eight points on 3-of-3 shooting that included going 2-of-2 from three-point range.

Maryland made sure everyone was involved in the fun. 11 different Terps scored as they totaled 25 assists against The Mount. Kyndal Walker led the squad with eight assists as Maryland scored 50 points in the paint and held Mount St. Mary's to 44 total points as the Terps moved to 10-0 for the eighth time under Brenda Frese.

How It Happened:
1st Quarter:

Okananwa put in a layup for the Terps' first points of the night.
Mir McLean ripped off a fast five points as Maryland took a 9-5 lead.
Welson drained an early three.
Kaylene Smikle knocked down a three for her first points of the night.
Maryland took a 23-9 lead into the second quarter.

2nd Quarter:

Okananwa created a three-point play to take a 27-12 lead.
Saylor Poffenbarger and Marya Boiko added points as the lead swelled.
Williams rolled in a layup to start 3-for-3 from the floor.
Smikle hit her second three as Maryland opened a 20-point advantage.
Okananwa reached double figures with an and-one play.
Maryland led 46-21 at the half.

3rd Quarter:

Poffenbarger got the Terps' scoring started in the second half with a layup.
Addi Mack knocked down a pair of free throws for her first points of the night.
Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu rolled in a layup to build the lead to 30 late in the frame.
Welson drained a three in the final seconds of the quarter as Maryland took a 68-34 lead into the final frame.

4th Quarter:

Smikle reached double figures in the opening minute.
Yarden Garzon hit a three to put Maryland up 76-40 early in the quarter.
Williams reached double figures right before the media timeout.
Garzon hit another three.
The Terps grabbed the 92-44 win.

Okananwa (17 points) recorded her eighth double-digit game of the season and her 44th of her career.
Williams (12 points) has three double-digit performances in her last four games. She tied her career high against Mount St. Mary's.
