WASHINGTON, D.C. – Maryland gymnastics placed third at the George Washington Quad Meet with a 195.500 score on Friday. The Terps competed against George Washington, Towson and NC State.
Gianna Ruffing made her debut on the floor, recording her first individual score of 9.675. Rhea LeBlanc and Madeline Komoroski both scored a high of 9.825 for the team. Maryland totaled 48.825.
On beam, Natalie Martin scored a 9.800 in the event, contributing to the team score of 48.600. NC State scored a 49.150, winning the event.
Logan Buckmon matched her career high of 9.850 on vault. Three gymnasts scored above a 9.800, including Taylor Rech, Martin and Buckmon. The Terps placed third with a score of 49.000.
Sarah Saville and Sierra Kondo both scored 9.850 on the uneven bars. Maryland finished the event with a 49.075 team score, placing second.
