Five Run Seventh Inning Leads Terps Past Georgetown, 14-7

COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland baseball scored five runs in the seventh inning to take the lead and hold it for the remainder of the game in a 14-7 win over Georgetown at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium on Tuesday evening. The Terps improved to 11-10 heading into its weekend series in Seattle against Washington. 

Tied at seven runs apiece, Elijah Lambros drove in the go-ahead run with an RBI single in the seventh inning. The run scored by Jacob Orr was one of five in the inning, as Brayden Martin followed by drawing a walk with bases loaded. Two more runs were scored on a Georgetown (7-14) fielding error, and Chris Hacopian added the final run with an RBI single. 
  The game featured several lead changes up to the seventh, but Maryland closed out the game with a two-run home run by Aden Hill in the eighth. It was his 11th career homer and fifth of the season. Devin Milberg earned his first win as a Terp, pitching three innings without surrendering a run. He gave up just one hit in his outing.

The single by Lambros drove in one of his four RBIs on the day, as the senior went 2-for-3, adding a three-run homer in the fourth that previously tied the game at 4-4. It was his 21st career home run and first of the 2025 season. 
  The other Terp to homer in the game was Hollis Porter. He hit his seventh career homer in the second inning, crushing a ball down and out the right-field line. Porter finished the day going 2-for-5 at the plate with two runs and two RBIs, adding an RBI single in the fourth. 
  Hacopian recorded multiple RBIs, also recording a sacrifice fly in the sixth to tie the game. Martin did the same, going 2-for-4 with two runs scored as he hit an RBI single in the fourth. 

The entire Maryland lineup reached on-base at least once in the contest. Eddie Hacopian reached three times, going 2-for-3 with three runs scored. 

 Jake Yeager made the start on the mound, pitching three innings, allowing three runs, three hits, and striking out two batters.
