Two Event Wins and Four All-Time Performances at Day One of the Black and Gold Invite

The Terps started off the weekend with four all-time performances, a pair of event wins, and some new PRs.

Chioma Njoku had an all-time performance today in the women's hammer throw. She won the event with marks of 62.58m, putting her at third best performance in program history and new PR for her by 3 meters.

Isaiah Chapman also had an all-time top 10 performance today as he won the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 51.64 seconds. The time ranks him at ninth all-time and a new PR for him.

In the men's 200m, Roman Spikes ran a time of 21.24 seconds to put himself at tenth all-time in program history. He finished 13th in the event.

In the women's 1500m, Katie Turk crossed the line in sixth at 4:25.88. She now ranks ninth all-time in the event with a new PR.

Morgan Graham placed fifth in the women's hammer throw with marks of 53.10, a new PR by 5 meters. Some other PRs noted today are Joshua Goffe in the men's 200m (21.64), Katerina Talavova (4:39.39) and Hannah Mack (4:41.36) in the women's 1500m, and Jack Barchet (3:49.05) and Luke Coffin (3:54.55) in the men's 1500m.

The Terps continue competition in Orlando tomorrow at 10:00 AM with Day 2 of the Black and Gold Invite.
