COLLEGE PARK, MD – Each Hacopian brother hit a home run in Maryland baseball's 11-1 win over in-state foe Towson at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium on Tuesday evening. This was the third time both brothers homered in the same game and the second time this season. Maryland improved to 19-23 overall while Towson faltered to 13-28 overall.
Senior Eddie Hacopian drove in Maryland's first two runs of the game with a two-run shot to left center in the first inning. It was his 24th homer of his career, and seventh of the season. He finished the game 2-for-4 with two runs. He has now hit a home run in three of his last five games.
Sophomore Chris Hacopian followed with a three-run homer in the third. It was his 22nd home run of his young career, including his seventh on the season. He has hit two home runs in his last three games after not hitting one in 25 straight games.
Jacob Orr joined the Hacopian brothers by belting a two-run homer in the fourth. Orr now has five home runs on the season, adding to a single-season career-high, and 11 in his career. He finished 4-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs and two runs, as he also hit a RBI single in the fifth. Orr matched his career with his four hits and also has three home runs in his last five games.
Seven of Maryland's 11 runs came on home runs, and they led for the entirety of the contest. The Terps have launched 64 home runs through 42 games this season, a mark that ranks in the top three in the Big Ten.
Brayden Ryan made his fifth start on the mound this season, pitching his first complete game as a Terp and earning his third win. Ryan began the game pitching three scoreless innings. He finished the outing pitching seven innings, striking out a season-high six batters, and allowing only one run on five hits.
Elijah Lambros contributed an RBI double, and Brayden Martin (2-for-4) added an RBI single. His single in the bottom of the seventh was a run-rule walk-off. Alex Calarco also finished 2-for-4 at the plate with multiple hits.

- He scored two runs, giving him 152 for his career. He has the seventh-most runs in program history after breaking a tie with Anthony Buffone (2001-04) and Mike Murphy (2006-09). Chris Canann (1991-94) and Larry Long (1997-00) are tied for fifth, each with 158 career runs.
- Hacopian also drove in two RBIs, giving him 135 for his career. He tied Matt Swope for the ninth-most RBIs in program history. Chris Alleyne (2018-22) is in eighth place with 139 RBIs in his career.
