Nine Terps Collect All-Big Ten Honors

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Nine members of Maryland's seventh-ranked women's lacrosse team received All-Big Ten honors, the conference announced Tuesday. Honorees include Kori Edmondson, Kayla Gilmore, Neve O'Ferrall, Chrissy Thomas, Emma Abbazia, Devin Livingston, Shelby Sullivan, and Celia Pell.

Kori Edmondson earned unanimous All-Big Ten First Team recognition after an outstanding season leading the Terrapins' offense. Edmondson has tallied 52 points, including 43 goals, and has been named Big Ten Midfielder of the Week five times. She also earned a spot on Inside Lacrosse's Midseason First Team All-American.

Returning for her third season in College Park, Edmondson continues to build on her impressive 2024 performance, where she scored 38 goals, started all 20 games, recorded seven hat tricks, and was named Second Team All-Big Ten. Edmondson was also ranked No. 17 in Inside Lacrosse's Top 50 Players of 2025.

This past summer, Edmondson represented Team USA at the 2024 World Lacrosse Women's U20 Championship in Hong Kong, helping the team secure a gold medal with a perfect 7-0 record. Edmondson contributed three goals, two assists, 12 ground balls, and four caused turnovers, earning a spot on the All-World Team.

Kayla Gilmore, Neve O'Ferrall, and Chrissy Thomas each secured All-Big Ten Second Team honors. Gilmore, a freshman midfielder, has started every game this season, recording 13 goals, nine assists, and playing a key role in the draw circle with 67 draw controls. O'Ferrall, a junior captain, has anchored Maryland's defense with 19 caused turnovers and 24 ground balls. Thomas, a graduate student, has been instrumental in Maryland's attack, recording 32 assists this season and currently ranks 10th all-time at Maryland with 91 career assists and 50th with 143 career points.

The inaugural All-Big Ten Freshman Team includes four Terrapins: Kayla Gilmore, Emma Abbazia, Devin Livingston, and Shelby Sullivan. Gilmore and Sullivan have started every game this season, combining for 30 goals. Gilmore entered Maryland as a five-star recruit and the No. 7-ranked freshman by Inside Lacrosse. Livingston, the No. 9 incoming freshman by Inside Lacrosse, has contributed 16 goals and six assists while appearing in all games this season. Abbazia, ranked as the No. 49 recruit nationally for the class of 2024, entered Maryland as a two-time USA Lacrosse All-American.

Celia Pell rounds out Maryland's conference honors by receiving the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, marking the first such recognition of her career.

No.7 Maryland begins postseason play against Rutgers in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament. The Terps clinched the 2-seed after finishing the conference season 7-1. They open the Tournament against the 7-seed Rutgers on Wednesday, April 23rd at 3 p.m in College Park, Maryland. The Terps are seeking their fifth B1G Tournament title since joining the conference in 2014 and fifteenth tournament title in program history.
