
Terps Fall To Huskers Despite Porter’s Late Homer, 7-2

The Huskers (20-23, 8-12 Big Ten) got off to a 5-0 lead through the first five innings. The Terps scored two of the game's final four runs, but could not mount a comeback. Porter's home run was his 16th of the season, tying Alex Calarco for the team lead.
Maryland's other run was driven in by Chris Hacopian on a groundout with bases loaded in the seventh. Jacob Orr (2-for-4) and Elijah Lambros (2-for-4) both finished with multiple hits. Brayden Martin scored the run on Hacopian's groundout. He extended his on-base streak to 18 games and picked up his Big Ten-leading 43rd walk.B8| Porter send one out!

Joey McMannis earned his eighth start of the season. He pitched 4.2 innings and was credited with giving up five runs while striking out three batters. Omar Melendez pitched the final three innings. He struck out three batters and gave up two runs. Jake Yeager and Cristofer Cespedes also made mound appearances.
