Hacopian Earns 200th Career Hit In Loss To Illinois

Box Score CHAMPAIGN, IL – With his hit in the fourth inning, senior first baseman Eddie Hacopian earned his 200th career hit. Still, Maryland baseball was defeated by Illinois, 15-3, in game two of its doubleheader at Illinois Field on Saturday. Maryland is now 14-17 overall and 3-8 in Big Ten, heading into game three against Illinois on Sunday.

Hacopian, a 2024 All-Big Ten First Team honoree, achieved the career mark in just three seasons. He became one of just 14 players in program history to reach the milestone.
