Albright Improves School Record Among Additional All-Time Showings

GAINESVILLE, FL – The Terps had another great showing today at day two of the Pepsi Florida Relays with more athletes moving into and up the top-10 rankings with additional personal best and season best performances.

Eric Albright set a new school record today in the men's 800m with an impressive time of 1 minutes 47.32 seconds. The record he broke was his own that he set in the indoor season at the BU Valentine Invitational at 1:49.80.

Armanie Coleman moved up in the top-10 rankings from fifth to third as she set a new personal record of 11.56 seconds.

Jack Barchet also made some moves in the men's 800m today as he now ranks ninth all-time in program history. He is currently tied with the famous Jim Kehoe as they both ran a 1:50.22.

In the women's 400m, Maya Valmon finished in 54.27 seconds, placing herself back in the record books as she now ranks eighth all-time in the event.

The women's 4x400m foursome of Sam Payne, Lydia Robling, Kami Joi Hickson, and Maya Valmon ran in the finals today, placing fourth with a time of 3 minutes 38.77 seconds.

In the women's discus, Morgan Graham finished third in the event with season best marks of 51.64m.

Katerina Talanova set a new personal record today in the women's 800m at 2 minutes 8.79 seconds and Sam Payne had a season best in the women's 400m at 54.67 seconds.

"This was a productive weekend and the team took advantage of the weather and strong competition. It's always good to see our athletes setting records and performing at their best."
