
Yang Kuang Named Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Each week during the 2024-25 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week's Terp of the Week is sophomore Yang Kuang of the men's golf team.
Kuang won his first individual collegiate title as he helped lead the Maryland men's golf to win the inaugural Testudo Cup event Sunday at the P.B. Dye Golf Course in Ijamsville, Md.
The Terrapins won their first team title under third-year head coach John Phillips and first since 2015. As a team, Maryland went 11 strokes under par with a score of 853 (289-277-287). Kuang shot a 209 on the weekend, going -7 overall. He shot a 70 in the first round, a career-best 67 in the second round and a 72 in the third and final round Sunday.
