NEWARK, DE – Between pitchers Brayden Ryan, Andrew Koshy and Ryan Van Buren, Maryland baseball surrendered just two runs in its 10-2 win over Delaware at Bob Hannah Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. Maryland improved to 15-19 overall heading into its series against No. 15 Oregon.
Ryan made his third start of the season. He pitched a season-high four innings, also setting a season-high with five strikeouts. He surrendered just one run on five hits and earned his first win in a Maryland uniform.
Koshy entered for Ryan out of the bullpen. Koshy had a nice showing on the mound, also striking out a season-high five batters in two innings. He allowed no runs and no hits in his appearance. Van Buren pitched the remaining three innings, allowing only one run and striking out two batters. He earned his first save of the season.
The Terps trailed the Blue Hens (17-14) 1-0 entering the top of the fourth. However, they scored four of their runs in the inning to take the lead. The strong pitching performances and three-run eighth and ninth innings kept them in front.
Liam Willson and Elijah Lambros led the Terps, each driving in three runs. Willson tied his career-high with his three RBIs while going 2-for-5 with two runs scored. Lambros went 2-for-5 with a RBI triple. He reached home on the hit on a throwing error.
Chris Hacopian drove in two runs, doing so on a two-RBI single. He recorded multiple hits, going 3-for-5.
Jacob Orr joined Hacopian, Willson and Lambros as Terps with multiple hits. Orr finished 2-for-5 at the plate and scored three runs.

- Maryland solidified its comfortable lead by adding three runs in the ninth. Wilson hit an RBI single through the right side. Lambros belted a two-run RBI double following the score.
- The Blue Hens added a run in the bottom of the ninth. However, Ryan Van Buren was able to retire the final two batters closing out the victory for Maryland.

- Eddie Hacopian is also one of 14 players in program history with 200 hits. With 203 in his career, he's nearing 10th place, Charlie White (210 from 2011-14).
- Hacopian scored one run, giving him 142 for his career. He tied Casey Trout (142 from 1996-99) for 12th on Maryland's career runs list.
