Kayla Gilmore and
Neve O'Ferrall collected USA Lacrosse All-American honors, as announced by USA Lacrosse on Thursday.
Edmondson was selected to the First Team while O'Ferrall and Gilmore were named to the Honorable Mention Team. This is the 16th straight year that Maryland has had at least three All-Americans.
Kori was named the Big Ten Midfielder of the Year this season. Edmondson, who unanimously earned a spot on the All-Big Ten First Team, has led the Terrapins' offense with a standout season. She has tallied 65 points, including 54 goals, and was named Big Ten Midfielder of the Week five times. She also earned Midseason First Team All-American honors from Inside Lacrosse and a spot on the All-Big Ten Tournament Team. Returning for her third season in College Park, Edmondson built on her impressive 2024 campaign, where she recorded 38 goals, seven hat tricks, and started all 20 games, earning Second Team All-Big Ten honors. She was also ranked No. 17 in Inside Lacrosse's Top 50 Players of 2025. Last summer, Edmondson represented Team USA at the 2024 World Lacrosse Women's U20 Championship in Hong Kong, helping the U.S. capture gold with a perfect 7–0 record. She contributed three goals, two assists, 12 ground balls, and four caused turnovers, earning a place on the All-World Team.
Kayla Gilmore was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Gilmore made an immediate impact for the Terps. She recorded 14 goals, nine assists, and played a key role in Maryland's efforts in the draw circle with 73 draw controls. Gilmore earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors, was named to the inaugural All-Freshman Team, and was ranked the No. 7 freshman nationally by Inside Lacrosse. A three-sport athlete in high school and the all-time scoring leader at William Floyd in basketball, Gilmore was a two-time USA Lacrosse All-American and an IL Women five-star recruit before arriving in College Park.
O'Ferrall, a junior captain, has anchored Maryland's defense this season. The junior has helped shut down some of the best attackers in the country and recorded 30 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers. In the Big Ten Tournament, she recorded six ground balls and four caused turnovers. In the Big Ten championship game against Northwestern, O'Ferrall helped limit the Wildcats to just two goals at halftime. It was their fewest goals allowed in the first half since also being held to two in a 9-8 loss to Duke on Feb. 18, 2018. Northwestern also scored a season-low goals, despite out shooting Maryland 41-19.
