COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Maryland Football Chapter of Uplifting Athletes is excited to announce the return of its annual Lift for Life, which will take place on July 1. This impactful event is part of a nationwide initiative to raise awareness and funds for the rare disease community. It continues to be a cornerstone of the team's efforts to use their platform for positive change.
The Maryland Football Chapter is a proud part of the Uplifting Athletes network. Lift for Life is the chapter's signature awareness and fundraising event, empowering student-athletes to harness the power of sport to make a difference.
For the 2025 Lift for Life event, the Terrapin football players have set a fundraising goal of $10,000. To incentivize donations, chapter leaders
Ethan Gough and
Daniel Owens will allow the two highest donors from the team to shave their heads. Every donation will go to support the mission of Uplifting Athletes.
"Uplifting Athletes has given us the opportunity to contribute to something far greater than football," said Gough. "Our goal to raise $10,000 for rare disease research. Supporting the search for cures and treatments is a cause that truly matters. I'm excited to see the incredible impact Terp Nation will make for this mission!"
