In his most recent NCAA stint, Collins helped Penn State put together the best scoring defense in the Big Ten and its best in 11 seasons. He was key in signing the highest ranked recruiting class in Penn State history in 2021, while also putting together a consensus nationally top 30 class in 2022.

"I've known Coach Aki for a long time. We worked together over a decade ago and have stayed good friends in this business," said Williams. "I trust his ability, and character, as much as anyone in this business. He has a history of production in his role and will be a valuable asset to our players and our staff. I am very thankful he is here!"

Young provides nearly 40 years of coaching experience to the program including his time as head coach at UT Arlington (2021-23), Jacksonville College (2005-09), Hill College (1998-00), and Lamar Community College (1994-98). He began his coaching career in 1986 as an assistant coach for Texas Wesleyan.

"I've known GY almost my entire life. He was in my wedding. He is an incredible human being. He brings a wealth of wisdom and experience to our staff," said Williams. "He will be leaned on by myself and our coaching staff in many ways and provide a different perspective on the game that is only additive to our program. I am incredibly grateful he is here!"
