COLLEGE PARK, MD – Freshman Jordyn Hollamon was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week in an announcement by the conference on Tuesday. 
 
Hollamon, who receives her first conference honor, scored her first two career goals against Villanova. She tied for first on the team in points (5) this weekend, with two goals and her first career assist.
 
Before arriving to Maryland, Jordyn was honored with First Team All-State honors (2020-24) and was named Division Two Delaware Player of the Year. She received 2023-24 First Team All-American honors and was a 2021-24 Mid Atlantic All-American.
 
Hollamon and the Maryland field hockey program travel this weekend to Durham, North Carolina to play in the B1G/ACC Challenge. They play #8 Boston College on Friday at 3 p.m. and #5 Duke on Sunday at 3 p.m.
