LINCOLN, NE – Maryland volleyball fell to No. 1 Nebraska in consecutive sets (25-14, 27-25, 25-14) on Saturday at the Devaney Center. The Terps are now 7-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
Ajack Malual led Maryland on offense with nine kills and three aces, moving her team-leading kill tally to 160. Haley Melby was right behind with 11 digs, six kills and two aces. As a team, the Terps led the Cornhuskers in aces, 9-5.
The second set featured an electric, back-and-forth ending that went to three set points. But the Terps' hopeful comeback was cut off by a pair of well-timed Nebraska kills.
The No. 1 Cornhuskers continued their undefeated streak, moving to 12-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
