COLLEGE PARK, MD – The University of Maryland women's tennis team will open the 2026 spring season hosting two matches at the JTCC against the Georgetown Hoyas and Howard Bison on Sunday, January 18th.

Maryland's first match will be against Georgetown at 11:00 AM, followed by a matchup against Howard at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 18th.

The Terrapins are coming off a stellar fall season where newcomer transfer sophomore from Oklahoma, Emma Ghirardato, and sophomore Ema Kovacevic participated in the NCAA Doubles Fall Championship, the first Terps duo to compete since 2011.

This will also be the spring season debuts for freshmen Magdalena Baniak, Lucia Donnelly, and Gabriela Pimentel.

The Terps will look to carry the momentum from the fall season into their spring season debut.
