The Terrapins will honor the legacy of former Terrapin Vicki Brick-Zupancic at the Jan. 31 game. Vicki played on the women's basketball team at Maryland from 1999-2004. As team captain during her senior year of 2003-2004, she helped lead the Terps to the NCAA Tournament and head coach
Brenda Frese's first Tournament victory at Maryland. She was also a four-time first team member of the All-ACC Academic Team.
After college, Vicki played professionally in Australia and for the Philippines National Team. She returned to the Baltimore area to join the family health club business, Brick Bodies, in 2007. In 2013, she was named CEO of Brick Bodies, where she brought innovation and vision to the fitness industry. In 2015, her leadership earned her recognition as one of Maryland's Top 40 Under 40 by the Baltimore Business Journal and in 2016 she was named as one of Maryland's Top 50 Most Influential People by the Daily Record.
Vicki tragically passed away in April 2025 at the age of 43 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Vicki left behind her husband, Evan, young daughter, Jordan, her parents, Victor and Lynne Brick and a brother, Jonathan.
Vicki's parents, Victor and Lynne, have been longtime supporters and fans of the women's basketball program. In the fall of 2025, Victor and Lynne strengthened their connection to the Terps program with a $1 million donation to name the Vicki Brick-Zupancic Women's Basketball Locker Room at the Barry P. Gossett Basketball Performance Center and create the Vicki Brick-Zupancic Memorial Endowed Scholarship for Women's Basketball.
