UNIVERSITY PARK, PA- Maryland track and field had another solid day at the Penn State National Open on Saturday, with two Terps winning their respective events.
Naaema Robinson claimed first in the 200 meters, while
Annika Metzger topped the field in the 1,000 meters on a day where Maryland had six top ten finishes overall.
The Terps also had a trio of competitors move up on the program's all-time top 10 lists.
Naaema Robinson moved up to third all-time in the record book with a time of 24.07 seconds in the 200 meters.
Annika Metzger recorded a time of 2:51.90 in the 1,000 meters, moving her into sixth place all-time in the Maryland record book for the event.
Eva Rogers claimed sixth all-time in the record book in 3,000 meters with a time of 9:35.15 on her way to a top ten finish in her heat.
Jasmine Sharps recorded a personal and season best in the 200 meters.
Other standout performers for the Terps on day two included
Ella O'Neall who took eighth in the shot put (14.16 meters),
Fiona Carter who placed tenth in the high jump (1.65 meters), and
Taylor Riley who took fifth in the 600 meters (1:33.04)
