PISCATAWAY, NJ — The No. 8 Terps earned their 16th win of the season with an 88-41 victory over Rutgers on Thursday night. Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu posted her third-career double-double while Rainey Welson tallied a career-high 12 points as Maryland pushed its winning streak over Rutgers to 11 straight games.
The Terps' 47-point victory featured the program's third-largest margin of victory in a conference game since joining the Big Ten and their 41 points allowed were the third-fewest in a conference game since 2014.
Ozzy-Momodu posted her third-career double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds while Yarden Garzon dazzled with her 6-of-6, 18-point performance. Her 48 made threes this season are the most in the Big Ten this season. Maryland shot 16-of-25 (64%) from three-point range in the win, which is the program's highest three-point shooting percentage in a Big Ten game with at least 25 attempts in program history.
