CHAMPAIGN, IL — Aine Reade had an incredible Sunday for the No. 25 Terps, posting a pair of 9.900 scores as Maryland earned a 196.275-195.725 win over Illinois on the road. Maryland moved to 5-1 (2-1 Big Ten) on the season with its second-highest total score of the season.
Maryland got started on the uneven bars, where Reade got her incredible day started with a career-high 9.900 while Madeline Komoroski and Sarah Saville posted identical 9.825 marks as the Terps combined for a 49.075 team score.

Maryland wrapped up on the balance beam, where Emily DeFrees led the way with a career-high 9.900 of her own. The Terps ended the day with a 48.975 team score on the beam after Kogler and Megan Bingham posted 9.875 and 9.800 respective scores. The Terps earned their second Big Ten win of the season, and will carry momentum into their next meet, at home against Rutgers on Feb. 7.
