COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The Terps hosted No. 2 Ohio State in their final Big Ten dual of the regular season, falling 29-16.
The highlight of the night came at 197 pounds, where No. 17 Branson John delivered a statement victory over Ohio State's No. 10 Luke Geog. John electrified the 1,114 fans in attendance with a pin at the 3:40 mark, securing the first top-10 win of his career.
Carter Young added bonus points for Maryland at 149 pounds, earning his first Big Ten extra-point victory with a 14-3 major decision over Brogan Fielding.
Two Terps captured their first Big Ten wins of the season. At 157 pounds, Mekhi Neal broke a 1-1 tie with a takedown in the final 40 seconds to claim a 4-1 decision over Daxton Chase. At 174 pounds, Seth Digby secured a 6-1 sudden victory decision against TJ Schierl.
Maryland will wrap up the 2025-26 regular season on Friday, February 20 at 7:30 p.m. when the Terps host Drexel for Senior Day and Alumni Day
