
Maryland Football Adds Running Back Harry Dalton III

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Running back Harry Dalton III has officially joined the University of Maryland football program, it was announced Monday.
Dalton III arrives in College Park after spending his true freshman season at USC. He appeared in four games in 2025, helping the Trojans rush offense rank sixth in the Big Ten. Dalton III carried the ball eight times for 44 yards, averaging 5.5 yards per attempt with a long rush of 21 yards.
A native of Dinwiddie, Virginia, Dalton III was a four-star recruit out of Dinwiddie County High School. Originally a quarterback, he developed into one of the most dynamic multi-sport athletes in the state, finishing his prep career as the Richmond-area all-time leader in total yards (11,282) and touchdowns (160).
The 5-foot-10, 205-pound running back led Dinwiddie County to multiple postseason championships, including a 2022 VHSL 4A State title and the 2024 Central District Championship, while earning numerous regional and state honors.
Dalton III has four years of eligibility remaining.
