COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Maryland Terrapins (3-1) are headed down south to compete against the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns (2-2) in a three-game series from Feb. 20-22. This is the second time in history these teams will face off, the first coming from a three-game series in 2019. First pitch is set for 7:00 pm on Friday, 3:00 pm on Saturday and the final game beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The series can be listened to on Maryland Baseball Network and Friday and Sunday's games will be streamed on ESPN+.

- The Terps had a dominant start to their home campaign with a 16-3 win over the Georgetown Hoyas to improve to 3-1.
- The bats were hot Tuesday night as the team totaled 14 hits with seven for extra bases. Antonio Morales had a 394-foot blast over the centerfield wall and Ryan Costello hit his second homer of the season.
- Outfielder Brayden Martin continued his booming start to the season with a three-hit performance while hitting the Terp's first triple of the season. He is hitting .438 and leads the team in total hits.
- The arms continued to dazzle as Brayden Ryan had his 100th career strikeout en route to his first win of the season. James Gladden impressed in his single inning cameo with three strikeouts.

- During his tenure as both an assistant and head coach, Matt Swope has helped elevate Maryland's offense to one of the best in the conference. Over the past five seasons (2021-25), the Terps have ranked at the top of the Big Ten in nearly every major offensive category, including home runs (532), on-base percentage (.407), slugging percentage (.509), runs (2,299), RBI (2,141), walks (1,567), and grand slams (27).
- That success has translated nationally as well, as Maryland ranks among the top Power Four programs over that span, placing seventh in home runs, third in on-base percentage, fifth in slugging percentage, eighth in runs, eighth in RBI, seventh in walks, and sixth in grand slams.

Baseball america top 25 recruiting class
- Head coach Matt Swope has assembled one of the nation's top freshman classes, earning a spot on Baseball America's Top 25 Recruiting Classes list.
- Swope, who has emphasized keeping top talent in-state, did exactly that with this freshman class, securing three of Maryland's top 13 players according to Perfect Game.

- The three Terrapins featured on the Big Ten Baseball Players to Watch List: Ty Kaunas, David Mendenez, and Lance Williams – all contributed to the series win against the Seahawks and in the win over the Hoyas.
- Lance Williams who pitched the first game of the season had an excellent showing through the five innings he pitched. He tallied six strikeouts with only one earned run while earning his first win of the season.
- Ty Kaunas hit .333 over the weekend and tied Brayden Martin and Ryan Costello for a team-leading four hits throughout the series. Kaunas then hit two doubles and four RBI vs. the Hoyas.
- David Mendez had a crucial RBI in the eighth inning of game three to extend the Terrapins' lead to two vs. UNC Wilmington and scored three runs vs. Georgetown.
Stanley Bobb Baseball Player Development Center
- On, Jan. 14, 2025, Maryland unveiled the new Stanley Bobb Baseball Performance Center. This will serve as the new indoor training facility for the Maryland Baseball program.
- This new state-of-the-art facility will allow baseball student-athletes the opportunity to train year round in a controlled environment, allowing them to continue to hone their skills regardless of the conditions.
- The 8,500 square foot facility will have defined spaces for both pitchers and hitters in a climate controlled environment. The facility features state-of-the-art technology.
- This project is one of the many as part of Maryland's Building Champions initiative, a campaign that enables investment in facility renovation and enhancement.
- The facility is named after the late Stanley Bobb, who pitched for the Terps from 1954-57. A member of the Greater Washington Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, Bobb was the starting pitcher in the dedication game at then-Shipley Field in 1954.
