Maryland Terrapins Earn Six First-Place Finishes At Navy Select Meet

ANNAPOLIS, MD- The Maryland Terrapins captured six first-place finishes Friday at the Navy Select Meet, held at the Wesley A. Brown Fieldhouse. The standout performance of the day came from freshman Ogechi Uzoukwu, who recorded a top-10 all-time mark in program history.

Ogechi Uzoukwu placed tenth all-time in the 60m hurdles after recording a time of 8.57 seconds to win the event.

Morgan Graham took first place in the weight throw at a distance of 17.92 meters.

Nyla Cherry turned in a first place performance in the long jump after jumping to a distance of 5.51 meters.

Ella O'Neall recorded a distance of 14.68 meters in the shot put to take first place in the event.

Bryce Hatcher sprinted to a first place finish in the 60 meters turning in a time of 7.60 seconds.

Jennessa Wolfe logged a first place finish in the high jump at a distance of 1.75 meters.

The Maryland Terrapins track and field team will return to action next Friday, February 27th at 9:00 am as they compete in the Big Ten Indoor Championship meet at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis, IN.
