  • During his tenure as both an assistant and head coach, Matt Swope has helped elevate Maryland's offense to one of the best in the conference. Over the previous five seasons (2021-25), the Terps have ranked at the top of the Big Ten in nearly every major offensive category, including home runs (532), on-base percentage (.407), slugging percentage (.509), runs (2,299), RBI (2,141), walks (1,567), and grand slams (27).
  • That success has translated nationally as well, as Maryland ranks among the top Power Four programs over that span, placing seventh in home runs, third in on-base percentage, fifth in slugging percentage, eighth in runs, eighth in RBI, seventh in walks, and sixth in grand slams.
