INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A pair of program top-10 performances by
Morgan Graham and Jasmine Sharpes, a top-10 overall finish for
Jennessa Wolfe, and a final qualifications performance by
Maya Valmon highlighted Maryland's second day of the Big Ten Indoor Championships at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion.
Graham set a new ninth best all-time mark in program history in the weight throw at 18.95 meters to place 19th overall in the field.
Jasmine Sharps tied for tenth all-time in the 60 meters, turning in a time of 7.59 seconds.
Maya Valmon qualified for the 400 meter final after turning in a time of 52.62 seconds to finish third overall in the prelims.
Jennessa Wolfe placed ninth overall in the high jump reaching a height of 1.75 meters.
Payton Jones set a new personal best in the long jump at a distance of 5.71 meters.
Ashley Thomas set a new personal best in the 60 meter hurdles, turning a time of 8.81
The Maryland Terrapins track and field team returns to action tomorrow, Feb. 28, at 11:30 a.m. in Indianapolis for day three of the Big Ten Indoor Championships.
