Maryland Track And Field Travels To Philadelphia For Penn Classic

COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Maryland Terrapins Indoor Track and Field team will travel to Philadelphia this weekend to compete in the Penn Classic on Friday and Saturday at The Ott Center starting at 11:00 AM. The meet will be streamed on ESPN+ on both days.

This weekend's two-day meet will mark the first of four meets this month leading up to the Big Ten Indoor Championships on February 27-28th in Indianapolis.
The Maryland Terrapins will travel to Clemson and Boston next weekend followed by a trip to Navy on February 20th.

Last time out: penn state national open

Ogechi Uzoukwu hit a personal best in the 60 meters hurdle with a time of 8.79 seconds. She took third in her heat and placed 12th overall in the first round to qualify for the evening semifinals.
Both Bryce Hatcher and Victoria Teasley qualified in the 60 meter dash. Hatcher clocked a time of 7.64 seconds to finish second in her heat, while Teasley had a time of 7.58 seconds to place second in her heat.
Jasmine Sharps recorded a personal best with a time of 7.66 seconds in the 60 meters.
Annika Metzger logged a time of 4:57.37 for a new personal best in the mile. Which resulted in the sophomore winning her heat.
Lucy Scothern recorded a personal best time of 2:11.52 in the 800 meters, which was good enough to secure first place in her heat.
Naaema Robinson moved up to third all-time in the record book with a time of 24.07 seconds in the 200 meters.
Annika Metzger recorded a time of 2:51.90 in the 1,000 meters, moving her into sixth place all-time in the Maryland record book for the event.
Eva Rogers claimed sixth all-time in the record book in 3,000 meters with a time of 9:35.15 on her way to a top ten finish in her heat.
Jasmine Sharps recorded a personal and season best in the 200 meters with a time of 24.88 seconds.

Armanie Coleman holds program records in the 60-meter dash (7.43) and 200-meter dash (23.69).

Jennessa Wolfe ranks 10th in the high jump (5 feet, 8.75 inches).
Tolu Akinduro ranks third in the triple jump (41 feet, 10.75 inches).
Leonora Lynn ranks tenth in the 5000 meters with a time of (17:25.36)
Eva Rogers moved to seventh all-time in the mile at a time of (4:48.42), and holds sixth all-time in the 3000 meters with a time of (9:35.15)
Naaema Robinson holds thirds all-time in the 200 meters after recording a time of 24.07 seconds.
Annika Metzger ranks sixth all-time in the 1000 meters at a time of (2:51.90).
In the 4x400 Ka'Nai Bey, Maya Mosley, Taylor Riley, Maya Valmon turned in a time of 3:40.33 to put them ninth all-time in the Maryland record books.
