Terrapins Earn No. 6 Seed in Big Ten Tournament

COLLEGE PARK, MD --  The 14th-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (23-7) is the No. 6 seed and earned a bye in this week's Allstate Big Ten Tournament at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind.
 
The Terrapins will play either 11th-seeded Oregon (20-11) or 14th-seeded Purdue (13-16) in the fourth game Thursday, March 5 at approximately 9 p.m. ET.  The game will tip off 25 minutes after the third game, which tips off at 6:30 p.m. ET.
 
Thursday's game will be televised on the Big Ten Network and streamed on the FOX Sports app.

The Terrapins went 6-1 in the month of February, picking up wins at No. 12 Michigan State and at No. 8 Ohio State along the way.
 
Maryland is 22-6 all-time in the Big Ten Tournament and won the 2015, 2016, 2016, 2020 and 2021 tournament titles.
 
The NCAA Tournament committee named the Terrapins a No. 13 overall seed and a No. 4 seed in Sunday's Top 16 reveal. NCAA First and Second Round Top 16 seeds and host sites will be officially announced on Saturday, March 14. The full NCAA Tournament bracket and matchups will be released during the Selection Show on Sunday, March 15 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
