TOWSON, MD — Maryland placed first at the Towson Quad with a 195.925 overall showing against Towson, George Washington, and Penn. Maddie Komoroski had a remarkable night with a 9.875 score on bars as Maryland moved to 16-6 in 2026.
The Terps got their night started on the beam, where Madeline Komoroski led the way to a 49.100 team score with her 9.875. Josephine Kogler pitched in a matching 9.875 while Emily Defrees added a 9.825 mark to her season as Maryland opened the meet.
The Terps moved over to the floor, where Madeline Komoroski, Taylor Rech and Emily Defrees earned a trio of 9.850 marks to lead the way. Maryland is ranked No. 23 on the floor, and continued its hot season with a 49.000 team score.
Maryland ranks No. 24 nationally on the vault, and posted a 48.900 team score on Friday night. Kogler and Buckmon led the way with respective 9.850 and 9.825 scores.
The Terps closed the night on the uneven bars with a 48.875 team score. Gianna Ruffing led Maryland with a 9.825 mark while Chelsey Dennis contributed a 9.800.
Towson took second on the night to move to 13-12 on the season. Penn placed third to move to 22-5 while George Washington dropped to 7-11 on Friday night. Maryland is back in action in the George Washington Quad on Mar. 15.
