Rocke Homers In 8-2 Loss To No. 21 Washington

The freshman catcher drove in both of Maryland’s runs on Sunday.

SEATTLE, WA — No. 21 Washington defeated the Terps 8-2 on Sunday afternoon to wrap up Maryland's first Big Ten road series. Zayda Rocke homered in the loss as the Terps fell to 12-14 in 2026.

Maryland jumped out to a 2-0 lead on Rocke's fifth homer of the season. Her two-run blast moved her season RBI total to 19, which is the second-highest mark on the team. The Huskies tied the contest with two runs in the second, four in the third, and two in the sixth to move to 22-6 (6-0 Big Ten) on the season and remain unbeaten at home. Maryland returns to College Park to face George Washington on Mar. 18.
