Box Score COLLEGE PARK, MD — No. 3 Maryland breezed past Penn on Thursday night at SECU Stadium, using a 15-9 win to claim the program's best start since 2019.

The Terps took control of the game early with a six-goal first quarter that featured a pair of goals from both Kristen Shanahan and Block. Lauren LaPointe opened the night's scoring with her team-leading 29th goal of the season and Lexi Dupcak joined in on the early attack. Shanahan tallied two of her three assists on Thursday in the opening frame.Â
The Terps added five more goals in the second as Edmondson netted a pair of goals and Block secured her hat trick. Maryland had 11 goals at the half while Penn had taken only seven shots. Eight different Terps scored as they moved to 4-0 at home for the first time since 2022.Â
Edmondson's four-goal game moved her into a tie with Quinn Carney for 16th all-time in Maryland history with 162 career goals. Edmondson was one of nine Terps to secure a ground ball in their ninth win of 2026.
Kayla Gilmore and Edmondson led the Terps' draw control efforts with 10 and five, respectively. Maryland led Penn wire to wire, and will take an unblemished record into Sunday's conference clash with USC.
