COLLEGE PARK, MD — Each week during the 2025–26 season, a Maryland student-athlete who has demonstrated excellence both on and off the field of competition is selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.

This week's honoree is junior Emil Riegger of the men's golf team.

Junior Emil Riegger was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week on Thursday. He won the individual title at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate event on Wednesday at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif. As a team, the Terps finished second out of the 23 teams competing. Riegger shot a 206 (70-69-67), which tied his collegiate career low with 10 strokes under par. He made 16 birdies and birdied or parred 48 of the 54 holes.
