
Maryland Track And Field Cap Strong Weekend With Record Performance At UCF

ORLANDO, FL - The Maryland Terrapins track and field team capped off a successful weekend at the UCF Black and Gold Challenge on Saturday by setting a new school record in the 4x100 meter women's relay and recording a top-10 all-time finish in the men's 800 meters.
Victoria Teasley, Armanie Coleman, Naaema Robinson and Jasmine Davids set a school record in the 4x100-meter relay, finishing in 44.69 seconds. The previous mark, set in 2025, also included Coleman and Teasley.
Joe Garzio tied the seventh best all-time mark in program history at a time of 1:49.77in the 800 meters.
Armanie Coleman finished second overall in the 100 meters with a time of 11.59 seconds.
Rhys Allen reached a season best distance in the discus throw, also placing third overall in the event at a mark of 52.53 meters.
The Terrapins will return to action Saturday, March 28, in Annapolis, Maryland, at the Navy Outdoor Invitational. The start time has not yet been announced, but fans can check the official Maryland track and field social media pages and website for updates.
