Maryland Gymnastics Headed to Lexington NCAA Regional

COLLEGE PARK, MD -  The Maryland Gymnastics team will travel to Lexington, KY, for the 2026 NCAA Regionals. Maryland will face No. 8 seed Missouri, No. 9 Arkansas, and NC State in the second round on April 3 at Historic Memorial Coliseum, with the action kicking off at 1 p.m. and streaming live on ESPN plus.

The top two teams from each Round 2 meet advance to the regional final on April 5 at 5 p.m. ET. The second round also features No. 1 seed Oklahoma, No. 16 seed Kentucky, Ohio State, and the play-in round 1 winner. 

There will be a total of eight teams, four all-around competitors, and 16 event specialists advancing from regional competition to the national championships. The top two teams, the top all-around competitors, and the top event specialists on each event (who are not on an advancing team) from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships.  

The GymTerps enter regionals following a 195.300 finish at the Big Ten Championships. Aine Reade led the Terps on floor with her 9.900 score. 

Maryland has now qualified for the last eight NCAA Regionals, with the 2020 Championship being canceled due to COVID-19. Fans are encouraged to follow along with GymTerps on social media, @TerpsGymnastics on X and Instagram.
