COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Maryland Terrapins (13-15) are headed to the Midwest for a weekend series against the Ohio State Buckeyes (14-13). Maryland leads the all-time series by a 17-9 margin. The series will open on Friday night at 6 pm, followed up by a Saturday matchup at 3 pm and will close out on Sunday at 1 pm. All games can be watched on B1G+ and listened to on Maryland Baseball Network.

  • The Terrapins routed the Richmond Spiders 19-4 on Tuesday night and now sit at 13-5 overall.  
  • Maryland drove in 19 runs on 17 hits Tuesday night vs. the Spiders. This marks the most hits in a single game for the Terps this season.
  • Four of the 17 hits came via home runs which ties the single-game high this season for the Terps. Devin Russell hit his second of the season en route to victory.

Batter's box beasts
  • Maryland finished the month of March with 183 total hits and 123 runs.
  • After getting his first homer for the Terps on Saturday, Jackson Sirois hit another two on Tuesday night. He finished the night with four RBI and three runs scored.
  • Paul Jones II gathered five RBI on Tuesday night, a new career-high, three coming from a 430-foot home run. He tallied two hits on the night bringing him to seven in the last five games and 29 on the season.
  • Rylen Stockton knocked two hits on Tuesday, bringing him to 30 on the season. He is the third Terp to achieve this feat this season. Stockton is hitting .330 on the season, the second highest batting average on the team. He is also third in total bases (52), home runs (5) and OPS (1.000).
  • When he's not impressing with his glove in the field, Ty Kaunas is making them with his bat. After going yard for his first collegiate home run on Saturday, he notched two hits and three RBI on Tuesday. He now has 32 hits this season, the second most on the team.

  • Ryan Costello's stardom standouts when he takes the batters box. He has recorded 28 hits, 16 XBH and 20 walks this season.
  • His home run on Friday night against USC was his 11th of the season. He currently leads all freshmen in the nation in this category and ranks second in the Big Ten.
  • Costello's 66 total bases leads the team, along with his 1.050 OPS and 34 RBI.
Marvelous martin
  • Brayden Martin had his second four-hit performance of the season to extend his on base streak to 58 games. The last time he hasn't made a base came over a year ago on March 28, 2025 against Northwestern. 
  • His 43 hits, .381 batting average and 31 runs lead the team this season. He also sits at the top with 10 stolen bases and has a 100% stolen base success rate.
  • Martin hit his first home run of the season on Saturday on the way to the 6-4 win against No. 12 ranked USC. He has 54 total bases this season, the second most on the Terps.
