COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Maryland women's basketball head coach Brenda Frese officially signed All-ACC honoree Sunaja 'Nunu' Agara (suh-NAH-jzuh noo-noo uh-GAIR-uh)  to the roster for the 2026-27 season Wednesday.

• Averaged 15.3 points, 8.7 rebounds with 8 double-doubles in 2025-26
• Scored in double figures in 25 of 29 games played in 2025-26 
• Reached 1,000 career points this past season
• Two-time All-ACC second team (2025, 2026
• Pac-12 All-Freshman honorable mention - Coaches (2024)
• ACC Player of the Week (Nov. 24, 2025)
• All-ACC Academic Team (2025)
• Pac-12 champion (2024)
• Won a gold medal at the FIBA U17 Women's World Cup in Debrecen, Hungary and averaged 6.9 points, 2.9 rebounds in 17.7 minutes in seven games (2022)
• A four-star talent, rated as the 37th best player in the country according to ESPN HoopGurlz
