COLLEGE PARK, MD — The University of Maryland women's tennis team will host their sixth and seventh Big Ten matchups this weekend at the JTCC against #57 Northwestern on Friday, and #58 Illinois on Sunday at the JTCC.

These will be the final two matches of the regular season for the Terps. The match versus Northwestern on Friday will be at 2:00 PM, followed by Illinois' match on Sunday at 12:00 PM.

The Terps will seek their first win against Northwestern since being in the Big Ten, as they have gone 0-7 in years previous. Friday's match will be the Terps' "Mental Health Awareness Match," where there will be giveaways like green ribbons, bracelets, stickers, and koozies.

Sunday's match will be Senior Day, featuring the Terps' lone senior Tamari Gagoshidze. Gagoshidze has spent the past two seasons with Maryland after transferring from Kansas and is the heart and soul of this Terps' squad.

The 15-5 Terps are coming off a road trip weekend, during which they fell to #15 Michigan and defeated #64 Michigan State 4-1. The Terps remain undefeated at home thus far and hold a 7-5 Big Ten Conference record.

With one more Big Ten win, the Terps will grab the record for most Big Ten wins in a season in Maryland women's tennis history (8).

Scoring updates for the match will be posted on the Maryland Tennis X account.
