BLOOMINGTON, IN -- Junior
Emil Riegger tied for second in the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational to lead Maryland to a fifth-place finish out of 15 teams competing this weekend.
Riegger picked up his sixth top 10 finish of the year in the event with his score of 214 (77-66-71), which was +1. He made 9 birdies and one eagle in the 54-hole event and his 66 in the second row tied his season-low round.
Freshman
Griffin Barke tied for 20th with a score of 222 (78-72-72) and picked up his second top 20 finish on the year. Barke made 10 birdies in the event. Sophomore
Will Gregware tied for 28th with a score of 225 (78-72-75) and picked up five birdies.
Sophomore
Benjamin Siriboury earned a score of 237 (81-76-80) and freshman
Caden Piselli shot a 240 (84-80-76).
As a team, the Terps finished fifth out of 15 teams competing with a team score of 894 (314-286-294). The Terrapins beat Big Ten opponents Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Rutgers, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana.
Next, Maryland will compete at the Big Ten Men's Golf Championships May 1-3 in North Plains, Oregon.
