Paul Jones II homered as one of six Terps with multiple hits against Georgetown.
Maryland's bats exploded in the third inning with a five-hit, five-run frame. Bud Coombs, Ty Kaunas, and Paul Jones II all logged RBI knocks in the inning while David Mendez plated a run with a sac-fly. Jake Yeager made the start on the bump for Maryland and held the Hoyas hitless through his two innings of work. Yeager was the first of six Terps to toe the rubber in the midweek rivalry clash. Maryland's staff limited Georgetown to just two runs on seven hits on Tuesday night. Both of the Hoyas' runs came on solo home runs, but Andrew Koshy, Cristofer Cespedes, and James Gladden worked scoreless outings in Maryland's 22nd win of the season.
Jones II extended the lead with a two-run blast in the sixth inning. Maryland plated three more in the seventh and another in the ninth as Nate Hawton-Henley recorded a pair of sacrifice-flies. Costello, Jones II, Coombs, Brayden Martin, and Franklin Pichardo Jr. all finished with two of Maryland's 14 hits in the win.Gladden strikes out the side in a dominant 8th inning!
