where we are
  • Maryland improved to a 15-18 overall record after snagging back-to-back run rule wins against UMBC and Navy on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.
  • The Terps have hit two grand slams in the past four games. Ryan Costello hit the first one against Ohio State on Saturday for his second of the season. Nate Hawton-Henley mashed for first collegiate homer on Wednesday against Navy for the team's second grand slam in the past week.
  • In 15 appearances this season, Andrew Koshy has been one of the Terps' most valuable arms out of the bullpen. Koshy has allowed just one run in his last 13 innings pitched with 14 strikeouts.

Batter's box beasts
  • In the first five games of the month the Terps have totaled 46 runs and 55 hits. Maryland's five-home runs on April 4 against Ohio State was the most in a single game this season for the Terps.
  • Jordan Crosland mashed a homer on Tuesday night against UMBC, just three days after he hit one against Ohio State. He has tallied nine RBI to start off the month. Crosland also leads the team with a 1.043 OPS.
  • David Mendez is on a seven-game hit streak. He has totaled 12 hits over that streak to move to 37 on the season and leads the team in batting average in conference games with a .362 mark.
  • Paul Jones II is up to six games for his hit-streak, with nine hits throughout. During the second game of that streak, he sent the ball yard on his way to a five-RBI performance. This ties him with Ryan Costello for most RBI in a single game this season.

crushing coz
  • Freshman Ryan Costello has taken college ball by storm. He not only leads all freshmen in the nation in home runs, but also the Big Ten conference with 13 total this season.
  • He had two home runs against Ohio State to tally five total RBI that game. He leads the team with 42 on the season.
  • Costello also leads the team in slugging (.642) and XBH (20).
Marvelous martin
  • Brayden Martin made history on Wednesday night as he reached base successfully for a 33rd game to begin the season, becoming the first in program history to do so. He is currently on a 63-game on-base streak dating back to 3/28/25 .
  • Martin leads the Big Ten in walks with 33 and his .500 OBP ranks third in the Big Ten. With 122 career walks, Martin ranks third in program history, recently passing Head Coach Matt Swope on the list.
  • One area where Martin has leveled up his game is on the basepaths. Martin is 13/14 on steals this season after recording six in both 2024 and 2025. The 13 steals ranks second in the Big Ten.

That guy ty
  • Along with Brayden Martin, Ty Kaunas is the only player to appear in and start in every game this season.
  • He hit his first home run as a Terp on March 28 against No. 12 USC en route to the ranked victory. Just seven days later, he hit his second of the season as he has started to unleash his power.
  • His 38 hits are the second most on the team and leads the team with 10 doubles.
  • Kaunas shines in the field as well. He has turned 12 double plays this season and has 72 assists. He had a remarkable highlight on Saturday as he was able to find the ball right outside the diamond and blast it over to first base just in time for an impressive assist to start the inning.
