PISCATAWAY, NJ — Maryland wrapped up its weekend road series with a thrilling 11-7 win over Rutgers on Sunday afternoon. Paul Jones II hit two of the Terps' four homers as Maryland improved to 24-28 (7-20 Big Ten) on the season.

Trailing in the third, Jones II's seventh homer of the season — and second hit of the game — tied the game. He homered again two innings later to give Maryland a 6-5 lead. Jones II collected five RBIs on Sunday, bringing his season total up to 39.

As the back-and-forth action continued, Bud Coombs hit his seventh homer of the season to give Maryland an 8-7 lead in the seventh inning. He plated two with his blast and finished with four RBIs on the day in the wild series finale.

Jordan Crosland helped extend the lead with a solo shot in the eighth inning to mark his 12th homer of the season. The Terps logged their sixth four-homer game of the season in their 25th all-time win over Rutgers.

Michael Iannazzo collected four hits in the win. Maryland used five arms on the mound and three of them — Andrew Koshy, Jake Yeager, and Lance Williams — worked scoreless outings. The Terps are back in action against Georgetown in College Park on May 12th.
