The Terps will wrap up their weekend series with the Wolverines on Sunday.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — The Wolverines jumped ahead on Maryland early on Saturday at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium en route to a 17-5 win. The Terps got five hits from the bottom four hitters in their lineup, but fell to 22-25 (6-17 Big Ten) in 2026.

Michigan used a nine-run, nine-hit second inning to blow the game open early. The Wolverines recorded nine straight hits — including a three-run home run — and took advantage of a collection of wild pitches to open a 10-0 lead and held on to improve to 29-17 (14-9 Big Ten) in 2026.

Maryland was held to five hits in the seven-inning game. Paul Jones II plated Ryan Costello with an RBI single in the fourth to get the Terps on the board. The Terps only needed one hit to plate four in the fourth and chip away at Michigan's lead.

Nate Hawton-Henley recorded his second straight multi-hit game with a pair of singles against the Wolverines. Michigan's Colby Turner hit two homers and drove in seven runs. The Terps look ahead to the series finale on Sunday at 1 PM.
