COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland men's basketball head coach Buzz Williams has announced this year's "Buzz's Bunch" event in College Park will be held on Saturday, August 1. Join Coach Buzz & his entire Terps Team, along with several community partners, in a day full of friends, fellowship, and fun inclusive activities centered around teaching the fundamentals of Basketball!
Beginning in 2008 when Williams was the head coach at Marquette, Buzz's Bunch is a non-profit organization with the primary objective of helping children with special needs come together socially while gaining a love and appreciation for the game of basketball.
Held each year on the first Saturday of August, the annual Buzz's Bunch camp is dedicated to creating a positive, inclusive experience for local children with special needs. Hosted inside the XFINITY Center, the camp opens the door to new friendships, unforgettable memories, and the powerful impact of connection through the sport of basketball!
Since he began the program, Williams has continued holding the events throughout his stops at Marquette, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, and now Maryland. The completely-free camp has blossomed into a community with more than 300 members across the nation, many of whom remain in close contact with Coach Buzz and many affiliated players.

Among the benefits of joining Buzz's Bunch are a pair of opportunities to interact with Coach Buzz, his staff, and members of the Maryland men's basketball team. During the season, one non-conference home game will be designated as the Buzz's Bunch Game where members will receive free tickets and will have the opportunity to spend time with players and staff on the court before warm-ups.
