Washington Named To Manning Award Stars Of The Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Maryland quarterback Malik Washington has been named one of the Manning Award Stars of the Week, the Manning Award, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, announced Monday.
Washington turned in a stellar performance in Maryland's 38-14 road victory at UConn on Saturday, completing 34 of 41 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns.
Washington's 82.9% completion percentage was a career high and ranks fourth in Maryland single-game history. The sophomore also set a program record by completing 18 consecutive passes during the victory.
Washington connected on touchdown passes of 60 and 13 yards, helping lead the Terps to their fifth 2-0 start in the last six seasons.
